Scott Morrison has confirmed that two Australians died in the Sri Lanka bombings. The victims were relatives. Mr. Morrison did not elaborate on the identities of the victims, out of respect to their loved ones. Two women from Australia are also among the inured. They are receiving consular support.

The dead currently number 290, with roughly 500 injured.

Local authorities managed to locate and neutralize an explosive device close to Colombo's, the capital of Sri Lanka, international airport.
