Victoria has recorded 1438 new cases today and five deaths. The state relaxed some of its lockdown measures yesterday as the vaccination rates are progressing according to plan.
Victorian authorities have suggested illegal social gatherings over the AFL grand final long weekend may have contributed to the state's steep jump in COVID-19 cases.
