St Basils at Melbourne marks 5 cases of Covid-19; Victoria marks 2 more deaths

An aged care centre of St Basils' at Fawkner, Melbourne is among the places Victorian authorities are monitoring, as 5 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Meanwhile Victoria mourns 2 more dead.


According to sources of SBS Greek, four staff members and 1 resident have been diagnosed with Covid-19. The rest of the staff and residents have undertaken the test and are waiting for their results. 

SBS Greek contacted the facility at Fawkner, but a representative refused to comment. 

Meanwhile Victoria marked two more deaths overnight, raising the number of dead in the state to 29. The national tally is 113. The victims were two men in their 80s. Moreover, Victoria also marked 317 new cases, the highest single daily number in the state, since the beginning of the pandemic.
