Bankstown Bites Multicultural Food Festival is the place to be on Saturday 29 July 2017 in Olympic Parade, (between Marion st & Dale Parade) close to the Old Town Plaza and the railway station, from 10.00am-4.00pm. The whole world will be in front of passers-by or better the various cuisines will fill the atmosphere with multicultural delicacies.

The whole world will be in front of passers-by or better the various cuisines will fill the atmosphere with multicultural delicacies.


Ms Kerry Sebio is the Canterbury-Bankstown City Events Manager and she spoke to Dimitrios Kametopoulos about this annual event which aims to promote harmony and respect amongst the thousands of residents of the area as well as beyond. It should be noted that the new Canterbury-Bankstown municipality is one of the most diversely cultural local government areas in New South Wales and the Greek language is the third most spoken language following Arabic and Vietnamese, according to the 2016 Census statistics. Dimitrios also speaks to the owner of the Greek cake shop Sweet Fantasy Sakis (Athanasio) Georgoulas for his contribution to the event with the tasting and offering of Greek sweet delicacies! Taste the…world at Bankstown on Saturday 29 July 2017!
