Young Australians seeking help for depression and anxiety will get further assistance with an injection of more than $100 million into school mental health programs.
Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt stated this week that this economic injection would help schools and communities to support the well-being and mental health of Australian children so they can respond to their personal and community challenges. Mr Hunt said that around 4 million Australians experience a mental health condition every year. Dimitrios Kametopoulos speaks to Themis Kallos about this initiative announced by the Health Minister supported by the Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham.
