What do a delicate feather, a tiny snail, a furry cat doll and a jar of giant sea spiders have in common? They are just a handful of the millions of objects housed in the Museum of Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Museum in Hobart Harbour holds hundreds of thousands of objects large and small, and only a small proportion of these are on public display in the museum grounds.

The collections include curious creatures, historical artefacts and anything else you could think of.

Among the objects are some that spark people's interest as they hide some history of the past.
