The significance of the Three Hierarchs for Orthodoxy and Hellenism will be the topic of academic Dr V.Adrahtas' talk on Thursday 30th of January.
Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John the Chrysostom are considered among the guiding lights of Orthodoxy. The three together are known as The Three Hierarchs and are celebrated on the 30th of January. They have given the status of protectors of learning and knowledge. The three saints, known for the last ten centuries as The Three Hierarchs were instrumental in the establishment of christian hellenism.
Scholar and academic Dr Vasilis Adrahtas' talk will take place on Thursday 30th of January at 6.30pm, 242 Cleveland St., Redfern, Sydney. The talk will be in English.
