We do not really know what the future holds for Tsaloumas’ work. The fact, however, remains that with only one collection of poems, this peculiar Greek-Australian poet, a voice from the “outside”, managed to put not only Greek-Australian but also migrant and multicultural poetry on the map, marking a new phase in Australian literature, which up until then, was predominantly Anglo-Celtic.

This fact alone that his work was officially recognized by the mainstream literary establishment, and also recognized and embraced by the Australian readers, is anything but a small achievement.
