Nikos Xylouris speaks to Odysseas Kripotos about the upcoming Melbourne Show of The Xylouris Brothers.

The Xylouris Brothers - Nikos and Adonis - were both born in Melbourne and moved to Greece at an early age to the island of Crete. They lived there for almost 15 years until they moved back to Melbourne to study. During their upbringing in Crete, Nikos and Adonis studied and learnt the local traditional music, with their biggest influences being their grandfather Psarandonis, and father Psarogiorgis, who are renowned for their musical skills and performances.

Since finishing university, Nikos and Adonis have had the opportunity to travel the world playing music, visiting Norway, Belgium, USA, Canada, Australia and of course spending the busy summer seasons in Crete playing all over the island at a variety of musical events and celebrations.

This Friday will be performing at the Greek Centre in Melbourne.
