Torres Strait Islanders are fighting to save their country from the effects of climate change.


A group of islanders has taken the Federal Government to the United Nation claiming it’s failed to address the climate emergency in the Straits.

They fear the survival of their culture is at stake and say the islands are on a path to becoming inhabitable.
