The federal government is split over the need to change the constitution to formally recognise Indigenous Australians. It follows Indigenous Australians Minister Ken Wyatt's promise to hold a referendum within the next three years on constitutional recognition. Liberal Senator James McGrath has told Sky News the party members he's spoken to are reluctant to support the change.
