The Women's World Cup in had an enthusiastic start with the hosting country, France defeating South Korea. Meanwhile, the Matildas are getting ready for the match against Italy.
The French singer Jain entertained a crowd of more than forty five thousand before the opening game of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The tournament's opening match, on the field at the Parc des Princes in Paris, featured host nation France playing South Korea. It took France only 9 minutes to score the first goal of the game.
That set the tone for the game and the game ended 4-0
It's a very good start to the tournament for France.

Tonight at 11 pm Germany plays China in Rennes.
They are expected to win handsomely. They come into this tournament ranked the number two side in the world, behind only the defending world champions, the United States.
Sunday morning will bring the following two matches:
Spain will face South Africa at 2am AEST.
Nigeria and Norway play each other at 5am AEST.
Meanwhile, the Matildas continue preparations for their opening match on Sunday night against Italy.
They're expected to win, but concern has been raised over their defence in the lead-up to the World Cup, given they have conceded eleven goals in their last three games.
But defender Alanna Kennedy says, the team is aware of the issue and has been working on it.
«We are very aware, and want to make sure as a backline we are keeping things tight. So, definitely, one of the focuses is the set-pieces, and trying to tighten that up. They're just friendly matches, and a World Cup is so different».
