World famous clarinet player of Olympic Games 2004 in Melbourne

Vaggelis Papanastasiou the world famous clarinet player visits Melbourne for the Thracian annual dance. His band consists of also well-known musicians from Greece, Nikos Zapartas violin/ vocals, Lazaros Tsiampas lute/vocals and local musicians Ilias Gilos accordion and Stefanos Eleftheriadis drums. The Thracian annual dance will take place on Saturday 27th May 2017, 6.00 p.m at Grand Star International Altona North. Vaggelis Papanastasiou spoke to Maria-Stella Papageorgiou about the significance of Greek traditional music in the Greek culture and identity.
