"Yiayia next door" talks to SBS Greek

The generosity of the "Yiayia next door" aka Nina, made headlines on social media.


Her generosity of giving food over the fence to her young neighbors prompted a well-known travel agency, as we wrote a few days ago, to donate two air tickets, one for her and one for her husband, Peter, to travel to their homeland.

As she exclusively states with SBS Greek, grandmother Nina, she is going to visit her ill sister, who recently suffered a second stroke and is now being treated in a rehabilitation unit.

Although she has stood as a "guardian angel" on the side of young Luke and Daniel Manguson, she humbly admits to doing just what she can.

The brothers Daniel and Luke Manguso often capture the generosity of their Greek neighbor through the page that the have created on Instagram.

On the page, which has thousands of followers, there are a series of videos showing Ms Nina offering food to the two young men, who left orphans after their mother's got kill in the hands of her on husband.

Yiayia Nina, and her daughter, Helen talk to us about the superb character of the two young man, in which fate showed her worst face.

Yiayia Nina also tells us that her youngest daughter teases her about her unexpected fame obtain.
