A new report has found an overwhelming number of young Australians are concerned about climate change.

They are the generation who will suffer the effects of climate change and are deeply disappointed by inaction. They also have a high level of distrust in politicians.

A new report from UNICEF's Young Ambassador program shows climate change is a concern for the majority of young Australians.

Compiled from consultations with over 1,500 Australians aged four to 22, and survey responses from more than 1,000 14 to 17 year olds, the report shows almost three quarters ((73 per cent)) of young Australians see climate change as having a significant effect on the world.
