Gold Coast wants to be renamed as a regional area to attract international students and skilled migrants
With new regional visas coming into effect from November 2019, Gold Coast won’t benefit as it does not fit in with traditional images of regional Australia. The city is now campaigning to be redefined as a regional area so it can boost the number of international students and skilled migrants.
