The weather forecast for Manchester however is not so impressive, and it could disappoint fans a little bit.

Just when it looked like the Cricket's biggest tournament would not be affected by the rain anymore, the weather forecast for Manchester suggests that there are chances of rainfall at the start of the game, it will be more than 40 per cent and it will soon reach 50% in the afternoon.

According to AccuWeather, the chances of rainfall are 30 to 40 per cent, which may affect the play of the later part of the first semi-final match between India and New Zealand.

Talking about the latest weather update, Amit Shah, sports journalist from Manchester, told SBS Gujarati: "There is a possibility of rain in the morning, but hopefully it would stay dry for a while, around the toss time and the match is likely to start on time.

If however the game doesn't get underway today, we have a reserve day tomorrow, and if the reserve day is also washed out, India will qualify for the final," he added.
If it rains after the first innings, the second innings can be played tomorrow on the reserve day.

The clash between the teams during the league stage of the ongoing Cricket World Cup, was also washed out because of heavy rains at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

India and New Zealand have played each other eight times in the ICC Cricket World Cups so far, New Zealand has won four and India have won three matches, and one game was washed out.
