The NSW State Labor Conference has rejected the 28 motions targeting Israel, and instead passed a motion encouraging members to visit Israel and the Palestinian territories to better understand the complicated situation in the region. A group of 15 young, potential leaders from the Liberal and Labor Parties visited Israel and the Palestinian territories in January 2016 and met with officials from all sides of the political divide, gaining valuable, detailed insights into the situation in the region. Max Stern OAM, a renowned Melbourne Holocaust survivor and philatelist, stamps collector and businessman, who was also Australias oldest registered, active soccer player in his 90s, has died at the age of 95.
