Our guest today is Aviv Shalem, Aviv has a stage name, Asis D’Orange. Aviv was born into a religious Yemenite family.In his late teens he came out of the closet. But this time is with a difference. He doesn’t see himself as a male or as a female. He is very successful as a drag Queen or drag King and he even won the drag contest in the 2017 Tel Aviv International LGBT. This is a person that went from wearing a Kippa to miniskirts and wigs. Aviv is the guest of the Festival of Jewish Arts and Music in Melbourne this weekend.
