Source: SBS
Our guest is Vic Alhadeff the CEO, NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, former Chair, Multicultural NSW; Vic expresses his concern in light of the continuing upsurge in anti-Semitic incidents in Australia. We are talking about anti-Antisemitism in Australia on the anniversary of the Kristallnacht Pogrom of the 9th to 10th November 1938, considered to be the start of the Holocaust. 81 years later and we are concerned about anti-Antisemitism in Australia. The Holocaust was the culmination of centuries of anti-Antisemitism stretching back past the medieval ages, The Spanish Inquisition, the Dreyfus Trial, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the pogroms in Russia. Unfortunately, the Holocaust and the initial sympathy has not resulted in an end to anti-Antisemitism.
