Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop visited Israel last week. She conferred with amongst others, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel and invited Netanyahu to visit to Australia, an invitation which he has gratefully accepted.Julie Bishop paid an emotional visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum in Jerusalem and paid tribute to the 6 million victims of the Shoah and spoke about the special place Holocaust survivors in Australia hold in the hearts of the nation.Former Israeli Deputy Prime Minister, Defence Minister and Chef of Staff, Shaul Mofaz visited Australia last week and spoke about the continuing dangers of the IS for both countries, as well as of his support for a two state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
