Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten, were among the many leaders and representatives who paid tribute to the former Israeli President, Prime Minister and Nobel Laureate for Peace Shimon Peres, describing him among other achievements, as an inheritor of the founders of Israel, builder of its defences and atomic capabilities, but at the same time a tireless advocate of peace with the Palestinians and a great friend and admirer of Australians.Australian political leaders including PM Malcolm Turnbull and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten, wished the Jewish Community of Australia a Happy Rosh Hashona, Jewish New Year 5,777 and praised the community for its great achievements and contribution to the Australian multicultural and general community
