The latest news with Shane Desiatnik senior journalist AJN: The Jewish community of Wentworth, Sydney, received a Federal Govt grant of $2.2m for security and infrastructure upgrades, ahead of the byelection in the seat, which the Liberal candidate and former Australian ambassador to Israel Dave Sharma said would be granted regardless of who wins the byelection.The Melbourne Habonim Dror Zionist organization in Melbourne, the Yeshiva-Beth Rivka Colleges and Beth Weitzman Centre and Lamm Library received pre-election grants from the State Govt to improve their premises and services to the Jewish community.
