Alex Dafner: Phillip Maisel e”h, a Holocaust survivor who video recorded more than 1500 testaments of fellow Holocaust survivors over 31 years, at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, has died just a few days after celebrating his 100th birthday.


A delegation of 15 Australian public health experts, including Prof Sharon Lewin, director of the Peter Doherty Institute and co-chair of the National Covid-19 Health Research Advisory Council, will travel to Israel in September, to meet with Israeli experts for a high level exchange on managing the pandemic.

A two person delegation from the Federal Opposition Liberal Party, Deputy Leader Sussan Ley and NSW MP Julian Leeser, met with leaders of peak Australian Jewish organisations prior to their visit to Israel and the United Arab Emirates to learn more about the Abraham Accords signed between Israel and the UAE Gulf State.

The Victorian marginal electoral seat of Caulfield, which contains a high proportion of Jewish voters, will be contested in the State Elections in November 2022, by three Jewish candidates, the sitting MP David Southwick, the Labor Candidate Lior Harel and the independent Nomi Kaltmann.
