Modern Orthodoxy is not an oxymoron. Rabbi Ysoscher Katz explains why.
Rabbi Ysoscher Katz has moved a long way from his Satmar Ultra-Orthodox upbringing and ordination. Despite growing in a very loving and nurturing environment and family, Rabbi Katz grew ideologically apart, and now serves as a rabbi of a Progressive synagogue. He tells of his personal journey and of the responsibility he carries in ruling on a Halachic law, a 'psak', which is not agreed upon by all.
