The two main Australian political parties and Jewish leaders have criticized several Parliamentarians on both sides of politics, for calling Israel an “apartheid State” following the Amnesty International’s recent accusation of Israel practicing Apartheid policies.
The Executive Council of Australian Jewry has expressed disappointment over the failure of the Government’s Religious Discrimination Bill not passing Parliament and they expressed hope that this will happen following the coming national elections.
A Chabad Rabbitzin Miriam Moskovits, formerly from Sydney and now living in the Ukraine town of Kharkiv only 42 km from the border with Russia, has expressed cautious optimism regarding a possible Russian invasion and blamed the Australian, American, Israeli and other embassies’ warnings to its citizens to leave the region immediately, for creating panic in the region.
