The 10 year old Thalia Hakin, former pupil of the Beth Rivka Girls College, was honoured and remembered, together with the other 5 victims killed in last years Burke Street car attack, at a memorial service at which her father Tony spoke very movingly about his beloved daughter. The child Holocaust survivor, dedicated community and Jewish education activist and respected lay Jewish historian, Sophie Caplan ev, died in Sydney recently and was honoured by community leaders and fellow activists.
