September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, shining a light on diseases including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, which affect thousands of Australians each year.

But while a blood cancer diagnosis can be devastating, treatment has changed dramatically in recent years.

So how far have we come in treating blood cancers?

SBS speaks with Professor Miles Prince, one of Australia's leading haematologists and blood cancer researchers about what to look out for, the promise of personalised medicine and so much more.
