A five-year-old boy was found sleeping next to his mother’s dead body in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Attendants at Hyderabad's Osmania hospital arrived to wheel away a dead body from the general ward when they saw a small boy, barely five years old, fast asleep on the hospital bed beside the woman.
NDTV reports the woman had come to the Osmania hospital on Sunday with severe breathing problems. She only had her child with her.
She had difficulty breathing and as she lay battling for her life, the child climbed on the bed and curled up beside her.
Helping Hand Foundation – Hyderabad in their Facebook post said the woman had died from cardiogenic shock inspite doctors trying their best to revive her.
The woman was identified as Sameena Sultana, a 36-year-old single mother from Katedan, an industrial area in Hyderabad.
Her husband Ayub had reportedly deserted her three years ago.
Helping Hand Foundation tracked down the boy’s family and with the help of the police, handed over the child to his uncle.
