Did negligence kill Divyaansh? That is what the Delhi Police is probing after a 6-year-old Divyaansh Kakrora, a student of Delhi’s posh Ryan International School, died on campus.

His body was found in school’s water tank.

How did Divyaansh reach the school’s water tank? Why didn’t the teachers or the school staff notice a child venturing out on his own?

What is worse is that the school authorities were aware of Divyaansh’s habit of ‘running out of the class’. And yet, no one noticed when he slipped out of the class on last Saturday and was later found dead. Was it negligence on the part of school authorities? Teachers and senior school authorities have passed the buck to parents by stating that they reminded the parents’ several times about Divyaansh’s nature of slipping out of the classroom.

School’s principal was arrested but later let out after she secured a bail.

The cops have questioned two school students to gather more information and still probing as to what led to Divyaansh’s death.

Divyaansh was a bright student who studied in Class 1 of this posh school in Delhi. His teachers have marked his notebook with several ‘smileys’ to indicate his good performance.

Devastated parents of Divyaansh however want a thorough probe into their child’s death. Delhi’s deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia too met the family members and have assured them of a thorough probe.
