51-year-old Irrfan Khan has tweeted that he has not been keeping well lately. He says that he is suffering from a ‘rare disease.’

However, the actor does not want people to speculate his illness.

Irrfan tweeted, “The last 15 days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease.”
Khan, who has 145 films to his credit, has said he would not give up. His tweet reads, “I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will. My family and friends are with me, and we are working it out the best way possible.”

Winner of a National Award for his performance in ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, Irrfan Khan has requested the people not to speculate. He writes, “In trying times, please don't speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week - 10 days when further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me.”

Many of his colleagues from the Hindi film industry have wished him well.

Singer Rekha Bhardwaj tweeted, “Sending healing energy and lots of love for early morning early recovery very soon Irrfan Sahab!”
