Actor Viju Khote, known for his role as Kalia in Sholey, passed away on Monday in Mumbai.
Viju Khote was 77 when he passed away on Monday due to multiple organ failure.
The actor, best remembered for his roles in Bollywood cult classics – Sholay and Andaz Apna Apna, was not well since a few months.
Mr Khote worked in a number of Hindi and Marathi movies in his career spanning four decades.
After making his silver screen debut in 1964 film Ya Malak, Viju went on to star in movies like Sholay, Qurbani, Karz, Nagina, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Andaz Apna Apna among more.
He will be remembered for his famous dialogues "Sardar maine aapka namak khaya hai" from Sholay and "galti se mistake ho gaya" as Robert in movie Andaz Apna Apna.
