A third-grade bowler Nick Gooden bagged triple hat-trick scalping a total of eight wickets in 10 balls in the Central Gippsland cricket competition.

Nick Gooden’s achievement is extraordinary as no one has done this before. He claimed a triple hat-trick. A triple hat-trick is when a bowler takes five wickets in consecutive deliveries.

Gooden, medium pacer, was playing for Yallourn North against Latrobe. He sent a total of 8 batsmen of Latrobe back to the pavilion in just 10 deliveries. Out of these eight, 6 were bowled out.

Gooden says that he is no extraordinary bowler. He told Weekend Sunrise, “There’s nothing special about it — there’s definitely no pace involved.”

Very humble and modest about his achievement, Gooden said, “I just roll the arm over, I am not fast or anything like that. I really wasn’t bowling very well.”

A good bowler or not, Gooden is latest cricket sensation for his achievement.
