An aircraft in India was made to divert after passengers complained of a stinking toilet, The Times of India reported.

A Bangalore-Delhi SpiceJet flight carrying 188 passengers had to be diverted to Hyderabad, SpiceJet Spokesperson confirmed.

Few minutes into the flight, passengers onboard complained of the stinking toilet in the front.

The report said the smell became stronger and the crew and passengers couldn’t bear it any longer. The pilots then took a call to land at Hyderabad, which was the nearest airport.
A SpiceJet spokesman said: "SpiceJet B-737 operating (as) SG192 had to be diverted to Hyderabad due to very foul smell from forward lavatory coming into the cockpit. After landing in Hyderabad, the lavatory and cockpit were thoroughly cleaned and ventilated before the aircraft was released for service."
