Described by Time Magazine as ‘the World’s most prolific and popular composer’, songwriter, composer and singer AR Rahman will be soon performing in Melbourne.
As part of Asia TOPA, a joint initiative of the Sidney Myer Fund and Arts Centre Melbourne, India’s musical maestro will be performing with the renowned Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Melbourne in February next year.
Winner of two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe, Rahman is a known name among music fans in India and abroad.
This concert being hosted at Arts Centre Melbourne will feature Rahman’s signature works such as Jai Ho, Slumdog Millionaire Suite.
He will be performing with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and international guest soloists S. Navin on flute, Asad Khan on sitar as well as vocal soloists and an epic 30 voice choir.
