Arnav Goswami revealed that he was attacked by a mob near chief minister's residence while covering Gujarat riots in 2002.

He talked about this incident in a talk and the video was posted on twitter. Although another senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai claimed that Goswami presented Sardesai's personal experience as his own. Sardesai tweeted, "Wow! My friend Arnab claims his car attacked next to CM Res in Guj riots! Truth:he wasn't covering Ahmedabad riots!!"

Sardesai goes on to calling Arnav "Feku." He writes, "Fekugiri has its limits, but seeing this, I feel sorry for my profession."

Rajdeep Sardesai has written about this incident in his book '2014: The Election That Changed India'.
Some other senior journalists supported Sardesai on twitter.

The video in question was removed and shared again by many.
