Aussie-Indian artists showcased at World Polo Championship

Australia is hosting World Polo Championship 2017 at Sydney Polo Club, Richmond along with many events and programs. One of them is an Art Exhibition where works of renowned Australian and International artists have been showcased. And among these artists, a group of five Aussie-Indian ladies have been given an opportunity to showcase their work.

Indian artists Manasi Khanna Bhatia, Swati Arora, Shipra, Deepa and Meena Mohanty have collaborated with famous art curator Selina Hitches to showcase their work. Manasi Khanna Bhaita, who designs hand bags, opines that it is a great opportunity for them to present their work as the work of India based artists is being highlighted. She says, “I design bags and get them manufactured in India and I wanted to showcase Indian art and culture here.”

All these Sydney based artists have used Indian aesthetics in their work.
