The BBC News on Tuesday came under severe criticism after it used footage of the wrong Bollywood star in their 10 pm news.
Actor Shashi Kapoor died aged 79 on Monday, but the tribute to the star on the broadcaster's news programme by Hue Edwards, mistakenly used footage of Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor.
Viewers were quick to react:
BBC News at 10 editor Paul Royall apologised for the error on Twitter, saying the slip was not of the programme's "usual standards":
The iconic Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor is best known for his acting in films like Deewar, Namak Halal, Satyam Shivam Sundaram and Shaan to name a few. He died after prolonged illness at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
Actor and brother Randhir Kapoor, son of veteran actor Raj Kapoor told the local media, "Yes he has passed away. He had kidney problem since several years. He was on dialysis for several years."

Born as Balbir Raj Prithviraj Kapoor, the actor-filmmaker was the third and youngest son of Prithviraj Kapoor, brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor.
He is survived by three children - Karan Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor, and Sanjana Kapoor- and the Kapoor family, the film dynasty of Bollywood.
He was also hailed as the first Indian actor to work extensively in Hollywood films and British films. Alongwith the big screen, he was also a renowned theatre personality and performed plays, along with his late wife Jennifer Kendal (sister of actress Felicity Kendal).
