John says, “In India, I found connections richer than ever before on every level, it's no wonder I ended up going back so many times and forging important friendships and business partnerships there.”
John grew up in a musical environment; his father was an Opera singer. John goes on to say, “India re-awoke within me my passion for music and performing... Every day, India became my stage... and often for practicing Hindi songs that I had been learning while on the road. In exchange for giving my music to India, I was invited lovingly into the community everywhere I travelled and received heart-warming hospitality and was shown incredible experiences. Every rickshaw ride, every chai wallah, every roadside dhaba, every guest house, every city, every village, temple, forest, fort, palace, mountain, train - all became a place of music and a place of deep connection and exchange - and always from the heart.”
From Kashmir to Kerala, from Sikkim to Jaisalmer and many places in between, India has been a real inspiration for John’s music.
