A bus crashed into a bridge in Melbourne on Monday morning.
Fire Brigade, Victoria Police rushed to the spot to carry out rescue operations after almost 30 people were feared trapped inside the bus.
The accident happened on Montague St in South Melbourne. Quite a few passengers were hurt in this accident.
The Gold Bus was transporting passengers from Ballarat when its roof smashed attempting to drive under the bridge.
The paramedics were seen treating the injured at the scene.
A Melbourne Fire Brigade spokeswoman has described the accident as a "major incident".
While the rescue operation was underway, authorities had closed Montague St in both directions.
All the passengers were rescued safely and the operation was over within an hour.
