‘Bunch of fools’: Sania Mirza hits back at detractors over video of her outing with Pakistani cricketers

A video of Sania Mirza with her husband and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and his teammates at a sheesha bar has gone viral online where fans claim the team was out till late night before crucial India vs Pakistan game.

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has lashed out at detractors on Twitter after Pakistani cricket fans criticised her, her Pakistani cricketer husband Shoaib Malik and his teammates for going out for ‘sheesha’ and being out till late night before crucial India vs Pakistan game.

India beat Pakistan by 89 runs (D/L method) at Manchester on Sunday.

Upset and angry Pakistani cricketer fans lashed out at the poor performance of their team on Twitter and blamed the cricketers for hanging out till late before the game.

The team came under fire after a video and a photo showing Shoaib Malik, Wahab Riaz, Imam-Ul-Haq and Sania Mirza with friends at a Sheesha bar and captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and other cricketers at a burger and thick shake joint ‘Archies’ went viral online.

‘Useless bunch of sportsmen’, ‘they should be ashamed’ the fans wrote on Twitter.

Some claimed the team was hanging out the night before crucial India vs Pakistan game but it was two days before the game.

Shoaib Malik who got out on the first ball in the game and his Indian wife and tennis player Sania Mirza was heavily trolled online.

Ms Mirza, the six-time grand slam winner, reacted sharply to a video which was tweeted by a person criticising her ‘outing’ with her husband Shoaib Malik.

Mirza also got into a verbal duel with Pakistani actress Veena Malik.

Malik on Monday requested people to 'maintain respect levels' for their families.

Pakistan lost to arch-rivals India for the seventh time in World Cup.
