Michelle Leng, a 25-year-old international student of the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), was last seen by friends waiting for a bus.
She was wearing jeans, a long-sleeved blouse and carrying a red bag.
According to a missing person's report, Michelle told her friends she was headed to the Myer department store in George Street for shopping.
NSW homicide detectives have confirmed that Michelle has been found dead.

She had been stabbed multiple times in the neck.
Her body was dumped in the Snapper Point blowhole.
Earlier, the NSW Homicide Squad had released a computer generated image of a young Asian woman whose body had been found naked, floating face down in the Snapper Point blowhole on the NSW Central Coast.
As she had no personal items, no one identified the body for three days.

A tourist saw the body and alarmed the police.
DNA results by NSW Police confirmed the awful connection.
Detective Chief Inspector Gary Jubelin, said detectives had thoroughly canvassed the area - "We are getting a pretty good understanding of what occurred in that area during that time."
Police have released CCTV footage showing Michelle's before she disappeared.

Footage shows her walking along Pitt Street (3pm) and then catching a train from St James railway station, arriving at Campsie railway station (4.30pm).
But she never reached her Campsie home.
NSW Police is appealing people for information related to the case.
