A plane crash near Hobby Airport. Houston, Texas in USA left three people aboard dead.

The victims identified as Tony Gray, his wife Dana and his brother Jerry were flying from Norman in Oklahoma to Houston.

Dana Gray, the pilot, tried to land the small plane three times.

Airport authorities were assisting her landing, which was proving too difficult.

Dana then made the decision herself to attempt a fourth landing.

This proved fatal as the plane smashed into a parked car in Hardware Store carpark.

A National Transportation Safety Board spokesman said that the plane crashed because either Dana was flying it too high or too fast.

No one was inside the parked car.

All three people aboard the plane died immediately.
