Australians were sent packing from the Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament by India after the three-time winners cruised to a 74-run victory in Potchefstroom in South Africa on Tuesday.
India batted first and scored 233 runs while Australia was bowled out for 173 in 43.3 overs.
While Indian team has been lauded for making it to the Super League semi-finals, cricket fans admonished the team’s decision when they didn’t hesitate from appealing against the Australian opener during the game.

It all happened in the eighth over of the game when Australia’s opening batsman Sam Fanning played a delivery from Indian bowler Sushant Mishra.
After hitting the ball but not taking a run, Fanning had comfortably returned to the crease, before he raised his arm to stop a run-out attempt from hitting him.
India appealed and the umpires were forced to call for a review which gave out a ‘not out’ verdict.
While India was within its right to appeal according to the rules of the game, the commentators and the cricket fans said the appeal was not called for.
“This would be very unfortunate if this kind of thing was upheld,” the commentator said during the review.
“I think it’s a natural reaction when something hard is being thrown back at you.
“I’m very glad (it’s not out) because I just think (in) the spirit of the game that is the correct decision.”
His co-commentator added: “It’s going nowhere near the stumps, he was just making his way back to the crease and I think he was just defending himself.
“You can understand young men being enthusiastic, but there’s a line that needs to be drawn in regards to the spirit of the game.”
Cricket fans too seemed not pleased.
