Following the success of their cricket anthem during India vs Australia series, Bharat Army is back with another song ‘Bharat Ke Saath’ for Team India for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Bharat Army, the fan group of Indian Cricket Team based in Australia and across the world, has released a special World Cup song in Hindi and English.

“We wrote the first song for the Australia India series and it was so well received. All fans were singing it and the videos were being shared on social media. That’s when we thought we must do something for the upcoming World Cup,” says Rajul Sharma, Country Head of Bharat Army in Australia.

In April this year, Adelaide-based cricket fans and members of Bharat Army came together to make the World Cup song.

This group of ardent Indian cricket team fans who work in the field of IT, health care, automotive industry and have little experience in singing, dancing and filming say it is their passion for Team India which brought them to together and produce a song.

“We have written the lyrics, composed the song with the help of a composer, sang it and filmed it ourselves. It has turned out quite nice. Bharat Army has also released a similar song in English in the UK for those fans who are of Indian-origin but can’t sing in Hindi,” says Mr Sharma.

The song was composed and filmed in Adelaide.

“We filmed it in record 11 hours across Adelaide and we are glad the song has been released in time for the cricket world cup,” says Mr Sharma.

According to Mr Sharma, over 10,000 cricket fans registered across the world have travelled to England to watch the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

India will play against Australia on June 9th at The Oval in London.

“I will be there holding our tri-colour singing ‘Bharat Ke Saath’ and cheering for Team India at The Oval,” says Mr Sharma, who is flying to England on Friday night.
