India’s capital New Delhi and the nearby Noida were covered in a thick blanket of ‘white’ hail on Thursday evening after being hit by rain and hailstorm.
India’s meteorological department had forecast thunderstorms with hail in the national capital which brought the temperatures further down in the region.

The surprise change in weather prompted several people to share the images of their surrounding covered in a white blanket of hail, resembling snow on Twitter.
Temperatures drop but it generally does not snow in Delhi during winter.
