37-year-old Srilanka born, Chamari Liyange, a doctor by profession, was found guilty of killing her abusive husband Dinendra Athukorala in June 2014.
On Wednesday, she was released early from prison.
Liyange thanked her supporters after she walked out of Greenough Regional Prison near Geraldton this morning.
She had been in custody since June 2014, and was sentenced in 2016, to a four-year prison term after being convicted of the manslaughter of Dinendra Athukorala in Geraldton.
She was acquitted of murder.
On Wednesday, she thanked her friends and her supporters in the wider community, who campaigned for her to be granted parole and for the cancellation of her visa to be revoked so she wouldn't be deported.
“I think after what I have gone through I am really looking forward to calm, quiet and peaceful life,” she told reporters outside her lawyer George Giudice’s Geraldton office.
The Department of Immigration and Border Protection last month revoked the cancellation of her visa after campaigning by supporters.

Domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty appealed to Immigration Minister Peter Dutton last month following which her visa cancellation was revoked.
Liyanage had suffered significant sexual, physical and emotional abuse during the couple’s marriage, the court heard during her trial.
