The man suspected of murdering dentist Preethi Reddy, whose body was found in a suitcase in Sydney’s South-East on Tuesday night, is also a dentist and Ms Reddy’s ex-boyfriend.
Dr Harshwardhan Narde, who reportedly worked as a dentist in Tamworth, died in a head-on collision with a truck on the New England Highway, NSW at 10 pm on Monday night.
NSW Police on Wednesday confirmed they had spoken to the ex-boyfriend as part of the missing person investigation before he was killed on Monday.
Detectives from Oxley Police Area Command believe the fiery collision was ‘a deliberate act’.
Ms Reddy’s body was found after police found her vehicle parked in a street in Kingsford, Sydney. During the search of her vehicle, they found a suitcase containing her body.

Police say Ms Reddy was stabbed numerous times.
Ms Reddy was last spotted at a McDonalds around 2am on Sunday where she was seen buying two bottles of water.
She last made contact with her family on Sunday morning at 11 am, saying she planned to be home after a late breakfast in Sydney.
She was reported missing when she failed to come home.
Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command who established the Strike Force Carlwood to investigate her disappearance found Ms Reddy's vehicle parked in Kingsford, about 9.30pm on Tuesday night.

During a search of the vehicle, police located her body in a suitcase. She had been stabbed numerous times.
Further inquiries established that she had stayed at a hotel on Market Street, Sydney CBD, on Sunday with a man known to her.
Strike Force Carlwood investigators say the man died in a head-on collision on the New England Highway, Willow Tree, about 10 pm on Monday.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding Dr Reddy"s murder are continuing with the assistance of the Homicide Squad.
