You might have missed it but according to Australian Government’s GeoScience Australia, a minor earthquake was recorded this morning in Melbourne's southeast.
Geosceience Australia says the 3.2 magnitude earthquake occurred near Leongatha around 5.45am on Tuesday and it was reportedly felt as far away as Brighton - 125 kilometres away.
A few residents reported hearing noises and feeling the ground shudder. "I was out checking cows that are calving and I thought a truck had hit a big pot hole," local resident Ruth told ABC.
The tremor lasted just about three seconds, according to Geoscience Australia.
No damage to properties or casualties were reported.
