A film worker based in New Zealand has died while he was on a holiday in India with his fiancée after a stray bull gored him.
Juan Pablo Lampe, who worked with special effects company Weta Digital in New Zealand, was killed after he was trapped between two fighting bulls in the walled city in Jaipur on Saturday, the Hindustan Times reported.
One of the bulls gored Lampe in the neck seriously injuring him.
He was taken to hospital but the injuries proved fatal.
"The muzzle hit his neck and stomach and he was taken to the hospital but he did not survive," said police officer Chaina Ram.
"The couple came to our hotel on Saturday from Pushkar and that same day this strange accident happened, they were supposed to stay here for two days before heading to Agra," said Kunal Sonar, of the Hotel Mustache, where Lampe was staying.
29-year-old Lampe moved to Wellington from Argentina in 2009.
During his years with Weta Digital, Lampe worked as a digital compositor on Hollywood blockbusters including Justice League, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and The Hobbit trilogy.
He was planning to marry his fiancee next month.
